Finaly a question to put my skill to work. Alright ofhdhdy
It looks like a very safe team that will do alright but relies on past stars too much and lacks in possable breakout players. You do get one in Rios. So what should you be doing. First I sugget get a better Shortstop. I'm not that sure about Orlando Cabrera anymore and I could see him being a disapointment. Alright you have a few players that you should Trade or just drop. Hank Blalock: I think he has more value in what you can get for him then what he can give you. Shea Hillenbrand: I drop him right out. He don't have any value unless it is a extra deep league and this is not. Randy Johnson: He has name value but his injury history makes him too much of a risk. If you can get someone to over pay for him don't think twice about it. Brad Penny: He's overrated and I think there could be better. Esteban Loaiza: Has he have had any value for a few years now. I think it would be better if you moved on to find newer blood. |

Ok Jennings, First time you say.
Well then all I can say is "WOW" it is a shame that is only a mock draft. I'd take that team any day of the week. That has a nice mix of star players and possable breakout players. That is a team you could turn into a championship fantasy team. So don't worry about it you are ready for the real thing. |

Thanks for the reply 645,
Since his draft just finished, I suspect the undrafted players are sitting on a 2 or 3 day waiver wire. In a 12 manager league the waiver wire is gonna be loaded with potential. OK, Offer Bengie up for trade, but if no one bites before the wire turns to free agents, I’d drop him for some closer insurance like Dan Wheeler. (Lidge handcuff) Bengie is solid but he already has Joe .347 Mauer. |

Yeah, I do agree that Bengie isn't much value to him with Mauer and what to do with him that he has him is a question to be answer.
No question Bengie might have value but I would drop Hillenbrand, Penny and Loaiza before him and sure if he could pickup 4 possable breakout type players or 3 and a closer I would have no problem with that but what are the chances. |

Yeah, Very insightfull Mojo
Buehrle is getting a bit scary and I rather not have him but sence he already does he should give him some respect for he still has some value. Although he is a pitcher that he might want to trade later on but not one I be looking to make first. |

Alright, I recently just completed my roster in a Dynasty League I'm in. This is the first year of this league, so most of the players were up for bid, while we were allowed to keep 8 players of our initial roster, and the entire farm system of the team we chose. Everybody was given a $120 million payroll.
I'm the Diamondbacks. So here's my team along with their contracts. The 1st,2nd,3rd year thing is their unique arbitration system. Basically you get to keep a player for his first 6 years of service, then he becomes a FA, with his price increasing each year of arby based on certain performance goals. Anyways: Quote:
For those of you wondering why I gave Jeter a contract with Stephen Drew at SS, I got him for the sole purpose of trading him down the line, possibly as soon as this July if Drew is playing well. I figure people will likely overpay for his name and intangibles in terms of talent.

Alright, 20 teams explains the somewhat limited roster of real good impack players. You have some nice prospects but if it is enough to stand out this upcoming season I can't say without seeing the other teams.
All I can say is I'm sure you don't need all them hitters on the bench. You see a team usely only have 1 day off a week and a bench player may or may not even be playing that day and that bench player usely isn't the best player or he wouldn't be a bench player and even if he is playing it isn't a sure bet that he will do anything and sence it is a roto league there probly a limit on games at each position becouse roto league usely always do and using them only use up that limit faster and it would be less games for your better players. So you see there isn't any advantage to be had by having more then 1 or 2 hitters on your bench. It is better to have a little balance and pick up some pitching prospects |

Yeah, the bench guys are more for injury insurance than anything. But since I paid league minimum for most of them(I'm hoping Morales turns into a good everyday player), I figured I could afford it.
I did address the pitching situation in the D-Backs system somewhat with a trade I did recently that netted me Putz. It was Doug Davis,Valverde, and Chris Carter for Putz,Brandon Morrow,Tony Butler, and Carlos Trifunel.
