Exclamation FanHome All Star League (Full)

As Forum Leader I think I'm expected to have a league for the Board and I wanted to do so all along.

I wanted to do a points league becouse that is the format that brings out who is best at putting together a overpowering team and who has something to learn and I want to see what kind of Fantasy Players we have here on FanHome and I'm eager to show you how good I could be.

So if you up for a challage.

Also so you know I like to use this League as a learning too and I may be posting the Teams rosters here on the Message Board with daily moves and standing so others can see how the league pregress though the year.

ofhdhdy, That's why I'm here to help those like you that are not that sure of how to play Fantasy Sports.

Without knowing why you have not did well in the past but I can guess why. It's most like is that you don't pay close enough attention. Holding on to a borderline player that isn't playing well does have an impack on your overall team and picking up a hot player can give you a boost and sometimes you get lucky and find yourself a gem in doing so and setting your lineup everyday and sticking with it to the end of the season can fix alot of problems becouse you are putting forward your best lineup.

I'm in with my 2nd Yahoo ID. Whew, but I've got a lot of teams this year! S'OK -- I'm pretty adept at handling them, and I like 645's idea of using this as a fishbowl type of League.

I'm in as I have not done a points league in a long time.

I'm curious as to why the points are equal for a single, double, triple?
Also since its a points league, why not use the Hold?

Well, Dave for the points totals. I used the settings of the first points league I played in last year as a guideline. I did make a few minor changes.

But for the single, double, triple, Home Runs it was 5-5-5-10. I guess it's possable to change it to 5-10-15-20 and I wouldn't mind doing that but I worry someone would think that's too much.

So give me your thoughts. Anyone have a problem with that?

Are you saying that a Triple would be worth a total of 15 points, or 5 + 10 + 15? Basically, I think you should get x number of points for every base.

Single = 1x
Double = 2x
Triple = 3x
Home Run = 4x

At first, my reaction would be against Holds, but then how do we value non-Closer RP's, except by the occasional vultured Win? Holds should probably count for something in a non-Roto format, but not nearly as much as Saves.

Why not assign Holds to be 1/2 the value of Saves?

I like Noc's value ideas

Even as an Ichiro fan.

I signed up as Team Headache. A couple of suggestions. To make things interesting, consider making the outfield spots seperate (LF, CF, RF). Since you are using holds, increase the number of pitcher spots. Say 3SP, 3RP and 3P. Then you can take a couple of bench spots away.

Ok, I don't want to change the outfield spots. I set it up with 10 bench spots and 2 Utilty spots and 3 DL spots for I like it when a league has as much flixablity so that you have more then 1 way of playing it so that you can try to figure out the best way.

So making that change would take away from what my idea of it to be. but adding them 2 pitcher spots I guess that fits in with that idea so I guess I can give you that.

Cool. I've never played in a points league. This should be fun.
