Bench Problems

It seems like whoever I bench always comes back to bite me in the ass.
The most extreme case happened in the last few days.
McLouth was in an 0-14 slump, so I decided to bench him. RIGHT when I did it, he hits a homer. I didn't learn my lesson, and I left him on the bench today, as well. Then he slams two more big ones!!
Is it just me, or do the fantasy baseball gods hate me?

Has anyone else had an experience like this??
