how good is he? i don't pay too much attention to prospects outside of seattle. how good is he for a long term keeper money league with minor leaguers also. i've been offered pie, dioner navaro and andy marte for jorge posada. it would weaken my catchers to johjima and navarro.

Alright then, First the down side. 1) Going from Posada to Johjima you will be giving up say about 5 Home Runs, 15 RBI's and maybe 20 Runs and 2) Pie may still be a season away from making a big fantasy impact.
So although Posada value is in decline and there isn't keeper value left in him but it will be 2009 before you start to get anything out of this deal. But if you think you will finish out of the Money this year or if you are willing to risk finishing out of the money. Not to say you will but if you are willing..... Well, Pie is worth it and I would take that deal. Just understand You are going to have to wait to get any value out of anyone of those players. |
