The job for the Cubs is still up in the air as Kerry Wood has worked himself into the mix and now is possable.

It maybe importent to note that Kerry Wood missed a day due to back spasms.

The Orioles officially named George Sherrill a few days ago. But keep in mind that the O's have some talented youngsters who could take over at some point and Chris Ray could take when he returns. So sherrill is not lock for the full season.

I'm skeptical about Betancourt being the first man the Indians turn to if Borowski falters. I'd bet on Masa Kobayashi getting save opportunities before Betancourt because he has a lot more closer experience.

There was an active website dedicated to the concept of Sherrill for the Mariners Closer for some time.

I drafted him in the AllStarsII...but not because he was going to be a closer. Just due to the scoring method.

Also, I think you may want to have Morrow or Lowe listed above Green for the Mariners. Sure neither are locks, but they are MUCH better pitchers than Green.

In Toronto B.J. Ryan will open the Season on the DL and Jeremy Accardo will be Closer for the Jays.

Yeah and that is a wise move.

Yeah, If anything would happen to putz anyone of them would be a possablity but I want to make the best out of the information that I've seen for as long as I can keep up with it and Although I know very little about Green but I've have not come across anything that would suggest that Morrow or Lowe would 2nd in line although Morrow might be in the Future.

So I would stick with Green entell I see something that would suggest otherwise.

How bad do you think CJ Wilson's Arm is and can he hold onto the job?

By what I understand He's throwing the ball well and is the obvious choice right now and should be ready for opening day.

But you should take it with a grain of salt for it is unlikely he'll hold the job all season.

Chad Cordero was sat down after warming up tonight becouse what is thought is arm stiffness. It's probly nothing but if you own Cordero or even looking for saves you might want to watch what happen there in the next few days.

Jon Rauch who had a blown save tonight would be the Favorite if Cordero has to go on the DL.

Lowe has been named the high leverage/late innings guy. He should get about 5 opportunities even without Putz getting hurt.

JJ Putz was placed on the 15 Day DL today. No closer has been announced. Hints are at a committee, if they go with one guy it will be one of the following three - Batista, Lowe or Morrow.

It's Mark Lowe step into the closer role for the mariners with J.J. Putz going on the DL.
