We'll do it here on fanhome and then play the league on Yahoo. if we can get at least 10 participants (preferablly 12 or more), I'll setup the draft and run the league.
Since this is the first one we've done on this site, I'll keep the league simple. It will be a standard 5x5 roto league. That means the stas will be runs, homeruns, rbis, stolen bases and batting average for hitters and wins, saves, strikeouts, era and whip for pitchers. Positions will be C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, UT,, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, DL and 5 bench spots. Max games of 162 for hitting positions and 1250 total innings for pitchers. If there is interest for more positions or more stats, I'm open to that as long as the other participants are interested. I'm also open to other scoring formats (head to head / points). As for as a draft on Fanhome is concerned, it works as follows. After enough players have signed up, a draft order will be established (by me). The order will be random. I'll then create a draft thread (and a roster thread). In the draft thread, each player will enter their picks when it is their turn. A starting tiime and date will be set and each player will have 8 hours to make their selection (not counting times between midnight and 6:00 am Eastern). If you miss your time period, the next person is up. the player who missed their spot can come back and make their pick at any time. All of this is open for discussion. If you are interested, don't hesitate to ask questions. That is what this thread is for, to find out who is interested, discuss the details and to sign up. |

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |
