I don't fully agree with this article but it should bring up some discussion with Soriano at 1 and Pujols at 2 and discussion is what I'm trying to start here. So give your options. |

Pujols will easily put up better numbers than Soriano.I highly doubt Soriano comes close to duplicating his 2006 numbers. The only value Soriano has over Pujols is the stolen bases and the position he plays.I don't believe he's going to qualify for 2nd base anymore(at least not in Yahoo leagues).
He may be first round material, but Pujols is still the #1 player in the game IMO.

Soriano put up great numbers last year and will probably do so this year, but I don't see how he can be rated higher than Pujols. I don't see Crawford as a first round guy, mainly becuase fantasy baseball is weighted towards power hitters. I'd put Manny Ramirez and Lance Berkman ahead of him. They give you tremendous numbers in 4 of the 5 categories.

Due to the lack of big time stolen base threats as compared to big time HR guys.
The league I run uses a obp, slg, r, rbi, hr and sb for hitters. Using those six it means that 3,4,5 hitters excel in five categories and the table setters in only three. Tends to balance the fantasy valuations in a way more similar to how a real GM values them.
