Number of Teams/Keepers/Divisions
12 teams 3 keepers 4 divisions of 3 teams Points System Passing Yards (30 yards per point) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-2) Rushing Yards (15 yards per point) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Receptions (.5) Reception Yards (15 yards per point) Reception Touchdowns (6) Return Touchdowns (6) 2-Point Conversions (2) Fumbles Lost (-2) Offensive Fumble Return TD (6) Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3) Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3) Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3) Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4) Field Goals 50+ Yards (5) Missed Field Goals 0-40 Yards (-1) Point After Attempt Made (1) Point After Attempt Missed (-1) Sack (1) Interception (2) Fumble Recovery (2) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Block Kick (2) Points Allowed 0 points (10) Points Allowed 1-6 points (7) Points Allowed 7-13 points (4) Points Allowed 14-20 points (1) Points Allowed 21-27 points (0) Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1) Points Allowed 35+ points (-4) "Dead Owner Prevention" Not sure if this is yet agreed by everyone. Have to check in once a week staing your still active. If you miss 2 straight weeks* and no one has heard from you, your no longer in the league, or (adding to this) We take a League vote on if they can stay in the league. *there are exceptions, but for the exceptions, a nice notice like "hey, I'm going on vacation" etc... would be nice. Granted there are always unforseen stuff ex: hospital visits, family issues, etc..... As soon as you can please, let us know you may miss or why you missed ( this is where a league vote would be good, because if someone is sick or whatever they should be allowed to stay in even if they miss the 2 week deadline.) Please state your view on this. The Goal is to keep everyone active and prevent drop outs. Positions Starting Lineup 1QB 2RB 2WR 1 WR/RB 1TE 1K 1DEF Bench consists of 6 players making the rosters of 15 players per team. keepers consist of 1/5 of a team (3 players) The WR/RB slot is usually a WR but the added flexibiity for bye weeks or just for the heck of it makes this option nice. Some people may want to start 2RB and 3WR each week or 3rbs and 2 wrs, its up to you. Draft Order/Style The order will be done by a random number generator. 1 order for the keeper draft and a new order for the draft for next season... we'll have to decide on a new random order or just the reverse of the keeper draft order. I suggest we just reverse the keeper draft. #1 in keeper is #12 in non keeper and so on. style Serpentine style. Pick Trading Since we will be drafting in a forum on here. It should NOT be a problem as long as we keep careful track of all trades. Maybe Make a thread for all trades involving picks. Playoff structure 12 teams, 4 divisions, 3 teams per division. I suggest the 4 division winners plus 2 wild card spots. So 6 teams total in the playoffs. Still undecided is when the Finals will be? Week 16 or 17? Placement within divisions - Random, choice, or based off of Fantasy City choice and geography? Number of playoff slots (needs to be even number that is either 2,4, or 8, since most hosted sites do not allow for bye weeks that I know of... 6 can be a choice if offered by the free host site)

Playoff Slot #
I vote for 8 teams 4 Division winners 4 Wildcards Seem like alot, but 4 seems too small, to me anyway. Also, now that I think of it, having 8 teams in the playoffs would make this league close and competitive all the way through the season. So, Basically in this league your never really out of the playoff hunt, that alone should keep everyon active... Division Placement I dont care either way, I say just make it random or, As each person signs/checks in they are placed in the next Division.... Each # will rep the Order you checked in, if yor the 5th person to check in your in D 1 and so on ( hmm someone is having a slow day at work )#1,5,9 Division 1 # 2,6,10 Division 2 #3,7,11 Division 3 # 4,8,12 Division 4 Playoff Finals Since its 8 teams, I say make it week 17. Lets have the biggest regular season possible.

It has to be 8 Teams. If the goal is to have active owner how are going to get that if we are in week 11 and there are owners that have little to no chance of making the playoffs.
For the Playoffs I prefore week 16. There to much luck in having it in week 17 having to deside what star players to start or what one to seat and what players you should be picking up to start that week. |

All....
It has been brought to my attention that an expansion of the league would draw immediate interest... to expand... the logical way to do it would be a 16 team league with 2 8 team divisions that have 2 4 team conferences... An AFC/NFC style setup... Good things about it: More participation More of a challenge More wheeling and dealing Bad things about it: Less % of playoff teams 30 teams in the NFL but 32 starting RBs starting in the fantasy league sometimes interest is lost and a team quits I would like to know if there would be interest in this... or is the current setup more preferable??

Im game either way, I personally like the 12 team set up, ive done 16 and people seem to drop out/ lose interest mid way and the league becomes dead, but Im down for whatever the majority wants!
edit: We have 2 people who want in correct? Cant we just if anything expand to 14 teams, 2 divisions of 7, top 4 teams of each division in playoffs? would something like that be possible?

I think that would be doable.... I have to research into what sites offer the option of 14 team leagues

I'm agents having more then 12 teams for if the goal is too have active teams then there has to be some picking up and droping players and you not going to get that if there are not any players that can make an impacked that everyone can see.
Trust me there will not be any if there is more then that 12 teams. |

I agree, I think we should keep it at 12 teams... After some thought I just think anymore teams would be too crowded. But im not a downer, so I guess lets take a vote majority wins!

I am happy with the 12 teams as well... it is a perfect number, unless it is going to be a super competitive league, such as my other one, that utilizes a 20 team league system.... but the complexities in that league are mind boggling when it comes to scoring.... and is done thru some expensive software that a buddy has.....

Things I would like to see:
1. Week 16 finals. 2. no more than 6 teams in the playoffs 3. NO fractional points 4. I personally don't like awarding half a point for receptions. I think yardage is a good enough measure. Just my opinion. I'm all for democracy, so whatever the majority wants I will go with. Looking forward to a great season! |

My preferences are:
--12 teams --Week 16 finals --I'd prefer six teams in the postseason, but will go with whatever the majority wants. --No preference on divisional placements. Random or choosing divisions works for me. |

As for 1/2 points for receptions... I have found it makes more value for posession receivers, who are in actuality very valuable for the game of football itself... not to mention the pass catching RB's and FB's.... 1 point per reception is too much, 0 is too little....
I would like 6 in the post season... but I will have to look at the options on Yahoo and other places when it comes up
