Now I am not a fan of any other types of fractional points... no partial points for getting 11 yards when the increments for rushing/receiving are 30 or whatever.....

1/2 points are easy..... but I cannot stand scores like 84.19 to 81.93

If we can have 6 teams in the playoffs, then that should be it, but if not it should be 8. 4 teams would be too little, in my opinon!

Week 16 finals would be cool, Seems like most want it that way, so Im game.

I agree totally...

we will tenatively have it at 6 teams and see if that option is offered on the league hosting sites.... if it is not offered, we'll do 8

sound ok for everyone?

6 teams or 8 ( if we have too) in the playoffs and a week 16 finals looks fine to me

I am fine with 6 play-off teams or if it has to be 8. And I think week 16 is good for the finals since the play-off teams tend to sit out their big names during week 17.

Draft Question...

How will the order be picked for this first yr? For future seasons we can just go by standings.

Also, I think the keeper draft should be reversed for the "team" draft.

First in keeper should be last in team.

First year is a random number generator.... got one from the web.... can't get much simpler than that... every team was given a number from the order in which they joined... 12 teams, 12 numbers.... put the random number generator to spit out a random arranging of 1-12 and bingo... that is our draft order

Since it is 3 rounds for keeper... what you requested is how it will be....

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12
12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12

Subsequent draft starts:
12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

I am actually for these types of scores and points, simply because you can get screwed rather easily. It's 15 yards per point..

Team A
RB - 104 Yards Rushing, 29 Receiving
RB - 89 Yards Rushing, 44 Receiving
WR - 119 Yards Receiving
WR - 74 Yards Receiving
WR - 74 Yards Receiving

for 29 points

Team B
RB - 105 Yards Rushing, 30 Receiving
RB - 90 Yards Rushing, 45 Receiving
WR - 120 Yards Receiving
WR - 75 Yards Receiving
WR - 75 Yards Receiving

for 36 Points

That's 7 more yards, not even enough for a first down, and Team B is up by more than a Touchdown. My thought with this is that, football is a game of inches, and EVERY yard counts...

That being said, I'm not trying to cause any problems since no one else seems to have a problem with it...just pointing it out for the sake of, I know you Dave and I know you like to have your scoring mimic the importance of each stat in a game as much as possible.

I know... but also trying to keep it proper and traditional... with one or 2 small twists that makes the league unique (.5 points per reception is a nice twist that causes new strategy)

That's bascially what I was trying to say was that this wouldn't change strategy at all, it would just make the value of the yards more true.
