What's up with the stock market - I read that there are plenty of indicators that a recession may be in the near future with the weak dollar and the banks losing tons of money off bad loans to home buyers. So why did it break a record today?

Do you feel that you would be missing an essential part of the action, if you did not see a camera shot of a base umpire calling a ball or strike on a half swing? Which presumably ties up a camera position for the entire game.

I don't think I've heard your take on instant replay in baseball. Care to tell us?

Do you think honest people or dishonest people are more likely to be generally happy in their lives?

Instant replay would do it. Rather than a useless argument, something constructive is done, someone looks to see what really happened. It could be worked the way it does in football, each manager allowed x number of challenges per game and some sort of penalty attached to a failed challenge so that they are not used lightly. There would be no rush in baseball, if the rule was that the manager has until the next pitch is thrown to challenge, then he can always stall around while someone in the clubhouse watches the replay and tells him if it's worth challenging. I suspect in baseball, nearly all challenges would prevail because of this. If we had this sytem already, we would be in the 58th inning in Colorado about now. |

Matchup:
Current list of people who think they can be president VS. National League teams that think they can win the World Series.
