Give me the chill. I tend to get sluggish and depressed in hot weather and devote most of the time in which a heat wave is prevailing, to sitting around waiting for it to end so that normal life may resume. I moved from Florida to Northern California as soon as I was old enough to do so, specifically to escape the year round warm weather. I've hugged the coast of California to escape the heat of the interior during the summer. I selected Parts Unknown as my residence because it is the rare, rare day when the temp gets as high as 70 degrees.

None of the above should be taken to mean that I am some sort of blizzard enthusiast...I like it cool and get miserable just like everyone else when it is extra cold. But I find it far easier to find ways to warm up when it is cold than I do to cool down when it is hot.

Minnesota beat Chicago 20-14 and 12-0 on Friday. When the NFL start playing doubleheaders?

Not to step on Grandstander's toes, but I think Williams does an excellent job of portraying psycho-stalkers (Insomnia, One Hour Photo, etc.) The role seems disturbingly natural to him.

Who were the most successful monarchs of Spain, England, France and Russia? Who were the least successful monarchs of Spain, England, France and Russia?

Yeah I saw that. I think it's all the steroids and bandwagon size new parks and protective padding and maple bats and the dh and artificial turf and night games and pitchers being rushed up from the minors too soon and domed stadiums and free agency and batting helmets and foreign players and pitchers afraid to pitch inside any more YNMYDAY Bob Gibson wouldn't have allowed 20 runs, he would have started firing fastballs into the faces of all the .......and like that.

In the original screenplay for "The Big Chill", there were several flashback scenes featuring the cast interacting with Alex, the suicide. These scenes were filmed, but then edited out of the cut which was released to theaters. Playing Alex was Kevin Costner and he must not have been very convincing if they tossed all of his scenes in the ashcan.
