Geez, Hawk. We put you in charge of recruiting the guests for this year and now here you are telling us that you have narrowed the search to a long dead BeeGee brother or a shrill Lucy wannabee with a microphone embedded in her nose? Okay, we'll go with Gibb. We can prop him up and use lighting tricks to suggest animated status. See if you can get James Earl Jones to do the voiceovers for his speech, or if that wrecks the budget, try someone desperate for work like George Wendt or Al Gore. |

I asked Curt Schilling a few questions in his blog a while back, but he hasn’t answered yet. I figured I’d try you. If Curt ever gets around to answering, it’ll be interesting to compare notes …
“After Tim Wakefield’s well pitched game in Toronto, he remarked that one reason for his success there was that they had the best mound in the American League. Of course variability exists in everything, but I would have thought all mounds in the major leagues would be excellent and pretty uniform. Do you find that the variability in mounds affects your performance? Are some mounds generally better than others or is this more of a personal preference issue? Do pitchers have any input as to how the mounds are prepared or maintained at their home parks?” |

That's the way I believe it is for most pitchers....it isn't so much the mound, it's them. If you believe that you pitched well or poorly because of the mound, well, maybe you did. However, it is the belief that is critical, not the actual condition of the mound. |

I spent the day writing some new traditional Australian folk songs. I'm half way through with this one, perhaps you could help me finish it:
Boing em up his billy bangle Wump em down his willy wale Shagbag in me porty popus Don't forget the shilly shale Trumpem trupuss in me shangle Slip me down the shankus shay Good on ya don't mean nothing mate So stuff em wid ja big G'day. But what's next to make the narrative flow? |

I have nothing to add to that obvious fraud, which doesn't mention a single Matilda, billabong or a jumbuck.
Are there any animals left in nature that Hollywood has not constructed a horror movie about (When nuclear waste infected Koalas attack!) that you could be coerced into paying money to view if they produced such cinema?

Grandstander, do you think many past members will drop by now that the age old institution that is "Ask Grandstander" is on FanHome.com again?
...Or will the fact htat most of those people owe you a good deal of money and other favors keep them away? |
