In last night's Survivor, the tribe with more people had three physically weak members. They had to sit out two people at each challenge and picked two of them to sit out the reward challenge. They then had to be in the immunity challenge so only one weak person was out of it.
Wouldn't it make more sense to put your strongest group in the battle for immunity? This isn't the first time I've seen a tribe stuck with a weaker lineup for the immunity challenge. |

There is a real leadership calamity taking place on both tribes. One has the ineffective Todd/incompetent Aaron duo at its head, the other has the whining, nagging, unendurable Dave as its chief. Dave won't be around very long, they have been bouncing people entirely on the basis of crappy personalities so far. Chicken was a petulant crank, Ashley was a self absorbed complainer and Leslie was THE LORD'S personal represenative in China. Dave may be more obnoxious than any of them with his uncanny knack for converting the most simple communication or task into a wretched emotional ordeal. |

Since all managers now call all pitches, why don't base runners (and hitters!) just look in the dugout and steal the signs there, instead of trying to see the catcher's signs?

The catcher not only signals what type of pitch is coming, he also will give away the location by the way he sets up. It is also possible for a manager in a dugout to arrange his players or coaches in such a way so that the catcher can see the manager giving the sign, but a baserunner's view is blocked. No such obstruction for the catcher.

The Yankees will lift the normal severe restrictions on their fan behavior. Cleveland will come into Yankee Stadium expecting the traditional polite and respectful treatment long associated with New Yorkers, and then be completely thrown off their game when they are met with only tepid applause and insincere compliments.
