I don't think it's being over-diagnosed, just more awareness of apnea have doctors sending their patients in for more sleep studies. I've been on CPAP for 14 years. For those who have it or even those who have family members with it, I'd like to recommend that you tell them about www.cpaptalk.com CPAP and Sleep Apnea Discussion Forum. Lots of dialog about it and many people discussing it. |

Well, I had my surgery Monday morning and came home Tuesday afternoon. I feel a lot hbetter than I expected. no real pain. It hurt like crazy at first to drink cold liquids, but warm water and broth was great. I'm slowly getting back on solid foods.
The doctor said the biopsy he did on my lymph nodes did not appear to be cancerous. I go back Friday for a followup visit. I do have a cool looking scar on the side of my neck. If people ask, I'll tell them they should see what the other guy from the bar fight looks like. My wife said my snoring was quieter the last two nights, but its probably too early to tell if my apnea has been reduced or eliminated. Biggest problem so far is I have been producing a large amount of saliva that I keep havin to swallow. |

Good news, longtime. I guess if producing spit is the worst thing that happens, you're in good shape. You're down south anyway. Nobody will notice you spitting!
Seriously, I wish you a quick and full recovery. Let us know how you're doing. |
