Have you had their Champagne Ale, NH?
That's one of the few I haven't been able to get my hands on, although I have had most of the rest of their lineup. The Raison d'etre was one of a handful of beers which propelled me from thinking that Sam Adams and Guinness were 'the good stuff'.

Come to think of it, the only place I have had that one was at the Brewery in DE.

Portland!!! Good memories there of Gritty McDuffs, Shipyard and another bar I don't remember. Imagine that.

Beertown Brown from Bridgeport is excellent. I normally shy away from Browns, either liking stuff darker in the stout/porter area, ambers, or IPAs. Seriously, I've picked up the ubiquious red rather than a brown. In fact I can only recall one brown that I've liked and that was likley because it was Newcastle and had the legacy and image, not the flavor.

BUT, Beertown Brown is a quality brew. Not toasty, but hits the caramel richness of toasted hops just right. A pleasent beer that I am disappointed to say is no longer in my fridge. Shame that drinking these things ends the experience.

Hey, normally I am with you. No Raspberry-scented brews, etc. However, Purple Haze is an exception to that rule. Marketing may tell us that it has fruit in it, but it doesn't taste like fruit. Of course, Rolling Rock doesn't really taste like anything at all.

I'm not saying Purple Haze is my favorite beer. I *am* saying that it is phenomenally better than Rolling Rock.

Understood...I haven't tried Purple Haze or Victory Lager, and I'm guessing unfamiliarity is why others chose Bud & Rolling Rock instead.

It's the same reason that readers of Creative Loafing in my parents' town voted IHOP as "Best International Restaurant."

Have you tried the Trumer Pilsner yet? They're making a big push here on the West Coast with their new brewery in Berzerkeley...

That sounds familiar. Still, if I don't know for certain, I probably haven't had it. Do they ship to the East Coast?

I imagine they do....it's an old Salzberg pilsner which is looking to penetrate the American market with its California brewery. It's replacing Stella on most taps around here anyway...
I can even ship some if you cant find it
