Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and his wife have split less than three months after the birth of the couple's second daughter, according to a report in the New York Daily News.
The story on the newspaper's Web site comes amid reports linking Rodriguez to Madonna. Rodriguez refused to address the topic on three occasions Tuesday, once saying ``no'' when asked if he had any comment. Yankees co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner also criticized the team's lack of hitting before an 18-7 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night, suggesting ``a little less outside distractions and a little more concentrating'' might help the team at the plate.
The Daily News reported Wednesday night, citing an anonymous source, that Rodriguez and wife, Cynthia, have separated after having ``problems'' for about three months. Cynthia Rodriguez's mother, Evangeline Scurtis, also denied a gossip Web site report that her daughter had gone on a romantic getaway with rocker Lenny Kravitz to Paris.
``She is not! I know that,'' Scurtis told The Daily News.
Kravitz issued a statement of denial Thursday

Older women tend to be better. Nevertheless, A-Rod shouldn't be cheating on his wife, especially given the age of his young kids. They will now grow up in a broken home (lots of money, but broken all the same.)

Well good, now Guy Ritchie can get back to making good movies and Madonna can further perpetuate the downward spiral of the Yankees.

By the way, Ritchie's 'RocknRolla' is going to be my must-see film this Fall.

British gangster movie director, best known for making 'Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels' and, one of my personal favorites, 'Snatch.' Then he married Madonna and directed 'Swept Away' which, so I'm told, is up there with Plan 9 from Outer Space as the worst movie ever made.

On the other hand, I have to say, these guys have to pass up more prime grade AAAAA trim than any of us would snif in a lifetime... and they have to say no thank you daily.

That may be, but IMHO Madonna doesn't qualify as AAAAA trim. The 80's Madonna I'd be ok with, the 2008 version, while not too bad for a 49 year old, just doesn't cut it for me.

I'd go for two 24 year olds. )
