Moved to where?

Somebody explain it again. When a thread gets moved, how do you find out where it is moved to? Why not just move everything back to Scout, if this board is going to repeat all of their mistakes?

In their infamous wisdom they move it to a loacation where nobody reads it, and the thread dies. Gotta love this place, don't ya?

y'all don't like this slimmed down version of the 'Cue? Paulie ah prefer an LCD widescreen mahself, Plasma screens are hotter and burn faster. Jtur, just click on the moved thread and it will take you to where it's at.

pfiggy is the winner, the thread title remained here. All it would have taken was clicking on it and you would have been able to read it as if nothing had happened.

What was the point of moving the thread?....is the point. It isn't as though traffic on this board is so hot and heavy that room needed to be made for something else.

Please...do not make the mistake of over moderating, over organizing. Just let people talk. If they want to stage a conversation about books on this board, let them. Don't come along and be a pointless pain by insisting we have to stand over there to talk about that and over here to talk about this and so forth. We got all the boy scout crap when Noetsi was a moderator and look how well that worked out. The BBQ is a general board...why is anything considered off topic? What is the topic supposed to be?

It is said of umpires, by umpires, that you know that they have done a good job when no one in the crowd notices them that day.

Take that to heart.....moderators are umpires......don't make us notice you.

Restore the book thread and then don't do anything at all unless there is a very good reason for it. "Looks tidy this way" is not a very good reason.

Don't do things just to be doing things........that was the Noetsi ethic.

I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
