A comedy thread

Damn heat all but killed a few of those old World War II bucks. People were passing out, they were giving away water and had sprinklers on to cool off if you liked. Best display of World War II stuff I ever saw.

99 today and climbing, my pool temp went from 58 (when I opened it on the 31st) to 88 yesterday.....30 fi'n degrees in 8 days, not bad huh?

Who wants to swim in 88 degree water? Put some blocks of ice in that baby! I can get colder water than that out of the tap. We have a pool, but it's too hot to walk up there, and forget about me sitting out in the sun. There's a reason why I don't have any wrinkles, I don't fry myself every summer.

I ain't wrinkled darling, and with all the golfing and swimming I've been doing, I'd pass for half breed

88 is nice after sundown, get naked and have a swim, but colder is better too, especially when we have female guests

You know Southern women used to bathe in buttermilk to keep their complection as lily white as possible. If you had a tan you were pegged low class. I dare you to find anyone with fairer complection than mine.

Mid-90s in New England the last couple days. It's supposed to stay this hot until Wednesday.

I personally don't care as long as I have the air conditioner blasting cold air all day.

Well I must admit when we met, I didn't see one single tan line

"eighty-eight degrees........."

Dude that's not a pool, that's bath water.

"Southern women used to bathe in buttermilk........................"

That's more information than I really need or want

No tan lines here, I'm darker than most of my hispanic buddies already......all over.

Southern women would put buttermilk on their shoulders, not all over. The shoulders are the most likely place for freckles, and back then freckles were a no no among the ladies.

All over? Tell me more. Did you know that we are also taught the art of flirting as we grow up? It's called turning a man to jelly. I have it down to a science.

What watering hole you dippin' in Nordy? A cold, spring fed stream, and some shine. Sounds like a fine time to me.

I love to tube down the Green River here in the mountains of SC/NC in the heat of the summer. Lazy and refreshing! Take some good friends, a picknic, some beer, some cold beverages and have a wonderful day. We didn't get to do this last year because of the drought. I don't know if the river is back up or not.

"All over? Tell me more"

I'm actually house-sitting for a friend who has bought in Naples, Fl, and properties up here in Morris Co NJ are.......shall we stay, stagnant for the time being, and she doesn't want to take a bath on this house.

Five acres, a stream, a pool with privacy, and I get a deal on the rent

Actually, I have just the slightest bikini line (it's all I ever wear cuz I'm a bicyclist--comfort) I'm 6'3" 220 lbs, and pretty damn lean.

It's 94 here, with a few clouds and 20-mph winds off the gulf, so its not so bad. I checked area temps, and it says 124 for Dryden, a few hours west of here. It started going up at 7 am, and has been rising steadily ever since. I think it's broken, because it's still only 92 at Sanderson, 20 miles away from Dryden.

We've had 3 straight days of 100 degree high temps.

It's gonna cool off after tomorrow.
