1st.. I would not call Bush a moron... probably the worst speaking Prez in modern history, but not stupid
2nd... from my experience in the military during Clinton's regime... that alone puts Clinton below Bush in my ratings... he was possibly the WORST president when it came to doing what was needed and correct for the military and national security

Since you don't already know this, I'll pass it along. A health care provider is not in business to provide health care. It is in business to extract massive profits from people who need health care.

So now, competition is your magic bullet, and competition is the only ingredient necessary for any enterprise to be perfect. Even if it is some phony appearance of competition by people who are colluding to manpulate the marketplace. Just slap the 'competition' label on it, and nothing else matters.
Try the term consumption increase... oil companies are basically making the same per gallon/barrel that they have been... and that is not a ton... the govt makes more on each gallon/barrel than the oil companies do

And do you HONESTLY think that we will draw the best into the medical field with price fixing? Telling a Dr. how much he can earn maximum? Making them operate under cost on checkups etc?

And nobody said that any industry, and heathcare included, is perfect... but capping and bureaucracy are not a better solution
