Probably about 5 bucks. Maybe ten---irrelevant difference.

Why do batteries that do the least work (like remember what time it is on a digital alarm clock) cost the most (9-volt)?

It's a Zen thing, either the irony washes over you or it doesn't.

Got a black sheep in the family? Assuming it isn't you, tell us about he or she.

It's probably me, because I refuse to go to funerals and people strongly suspect that maybe I'm a communist. I had an aunt who was very promiscuous for her time, who was found dead on a flophouse floor in Kellogg, Idaho, in 1962. Her son lives in West Palm Beach and plays golf and phones me to try to convert me to Christianity and mails me tracts. My view of which one is a black sheep is not shared by everyone.

Sometimes I make it and sometimes it goes unmade.

What kind of sheets do you sleep on? Polyester, 100% cotton, or satin?

I too am a black sheep to much of my family. You're a communist? I refuse to look at dead people in their coffins, no matter who it is. I find the whole funeral rite thing barbaric. My sister and her husband think that the work I do is unimportant and has no meaning. Of course she is a tax collector and he is a lawyer so I just basically ignore them.

For a died in the wool Democrat you sure don't seem concerned with conservation. That's a big SUV and I'm sure it guzzles the gas. Of course you are a government employee so you don't have to worry much about that do ya?

How much is gas in your area now?

A gallon of gas.

It's down to $3.52 here.

Q. I'm thinking about buying a new car, but would like to wait a year. Will the I be able to get a similar deal a year from now?

I occasionally do the one in my local paper, but only get about half of it done.

Why would jtur's family think he is a communist?

Squamish. Used to be a huge fan of boxing, but pay no attention to it at all any longer.

Something that you thought that you couldn't live without, which turned out to be relatively easy to live without?
