I would say that each manager pretty much knows when each pitcher will hit the wall. Ther is not much variation. I can do a certain number of pushups, and I hit the wall at the same point every time.
I think it would be wise for a manager to know how pickoff moves count as pitches, or what is the pitch count equivalent of 32 warm-up tosses by the 5th inning compared to 48 by the 7th. What is the pitch-count equivalent of getting on base and running the bases. What's the ratio of waste pitches ahead in the count, to fouls on a full count.

There is a reason why a guy who can run a 4:10 mile consistently can never run it in 4:09.

Probably the foreign language. It would be helpful if I ever go overseas and I'm really not much of a music person.

What would you rather do......

Spend a year with no first hand contact with other people, but you have full access to TV, radio, newspapers, books, internet etc. You would still be able to post on message boards like fanhome

or

A year with none of those but would constantly have visitors and people around hanging out with you.

Probably a learned phenomena, you get disappointed enough you start to expect less from people and eventually you expect nothing.

after golfing for 25 years now 600 plus rounds, I will will be doing something for the first time today when I tee off at 1. I'll be playing with a woman in my foursome. My question is: How will I pee on the golf course without her seeing? Once I have a few and break the seal, I piss every other hole
