At the place I work they used to provide us with Starbucks but after a buyout we've since switched to Flavia. It's a single cup brewing system with a lot of flavors to choose from. I'd rather have the Starbucks back.

Bucky, Home Roasting had an article passed around the wire today.

One of the suppliers is out your way.

When I buy my beans, I try to buy organic, fair-trade.

You try and buy something certified as being both? Does quality matter? Also did you know that a majority of farmers can not afford organic certification even though they farm organically?

The History Channel has switched to coffee for their 9 pm segment. And who do they start the show with but none other than Starbucks.

So I had to buy a new stovetop espresso/mokka pot. Purchased the Bialetti Elegance as it was the best of the three options at my store, and I'm kind of partial to the discount.

So tonight I used the Baratza grinder and cracked open our last Black Apron Exclusive - Ethiopia Gemadro Estate.

The brew method worked quite well with this coffee reallly highlighting the citrus notes and the cocoa/herbal layers. It was certainly more notable this way than through a paper filter drip, a metal drip, and surprisingly even the French Press...only gravity steeping beats the stovetop for this coffee.

39.95

The one I got from Cost Plus served me well for six years but the coating over the aluminum started to rub off and get all over the place. It was cheaper and the coffee was good. I just needed to get a new one though.

this one

I just called the store so I would not count on my memory, and yes 39.95$ at Starbucks. Seems they renamed it, or my memory sucks...

And what's the code to use in order to get the discount?
