Anyone been watching this competition? Some good matches, as always, and some absolute dogs. Thought the Reading/Man U match was going to be the latter today (Man U netted three in the first six minutes), only to end up the former. Reading scored twice, and came within inches of tying the score in the dying seconds when Brynjar Gunnarsson hit the crossbar. Final score was Reading 2, Man U 3. Great comeback, and great match overall, especially the last 75 minutes or so.

The Rovers/Gunners replay was quite a spectacle, too. Given the run of play, I was sure the Gunners were going to win that match, but it was not meant to be. They did not do well on set pieces like they usually do, and when the Rovers hit them on that counter in the 85th minute, no one could handle Benni McCarthy. What a brilliant shot!
