Ronaldo to the MLS would be a major coup for the future of professional soccer in the United States. He's more of a goal scorer than the less flashy, play-making Beckham. Adding both players at the same time could bring the sport to new heights in this country. I'm just not sure who could afford Ronaldo. If Beckham is worth $50 million per year, then Ronaldo is probably worth $75 million. I don't see any MLS owners forking over that kind of money. More likely, Ronaldo stays in La Liga or moves on to Italy.

The league isn't paying Beckham 50M$ per, the league is paying less than 10M$ per year.
Ronaldo already turned down a 10yr/150M$ offer from the New York Red Bull, ownd by Red Bull an Austrian company.
