Their financial situation has dominated the news. The inability to pay their players has mean that this League One team was docked 10 points and now sits in the relegation zone, not due to play on the field, but shady finances.
Supposedly two new ownership groups are bidding for rights, but that still might be months away, and there will likely be few players left as any player with value will be sold during the transfer window. The team is hundreds of thousands of pounds in immediate debt. They even asked if Liverpool would gift them cash from the 3rd Round FA cup match this weekend. Liverpool declined. These Hatters are just MAD, but the future just got a little bit brighter. Sure it took an own goal from the Reds but still Luton gets a tie at 1-1 BBC SPORT | Football | FA Cup | Luton 1-1 Liverpool Only 10,000 in attendance, but now on to a vitally important match Anfield - as Luton struggles just to exist.

Aye, that's fantastic news for Luton, although it's a true shame they didn't win (same goes for Stoke against Newcastle, as they played the far superior game).
