The MidEast is getting some attention from the EPL these days. Not just Israel, but a few Arab players have had 10 day trials recently, including the top Iraqi player and a top Saudi.

Aye, it's good to see the Middle Eastern players getting that attention, too. There are some good players coming from the likes of Israel of late, so it should be interesting to see how some of the other players from the other Middle Eastern countries fair.

I'm hearing good things about a few of the Iranian internationals, too, so it should be interesting to see how many more make moves into the top leagues.

From a Bolton perspective, it's great to see Megson so keen to bring in prospective players, but I certainly hope he's bringing in the right ones, and not just adding players for the sake of adding players (I know Bolton's budget is tight, but if that player is out there, grab him before making the supplemental additions).

Top 50 transfer targets | Football - Times Online

Times of London with the Top 50 players who might move

with Ronaldo (no C.) at 50 and Ronaldhino at 1, yet there is something odd to giving them numbers and then saying that the order doesn't matter. Use bullets...

I'm amazed at the number of younger players on the list, but younger, I mean young enough to be on an Olympic team.

With the youth and talent available I wish that MLSinSeattle was starting this year.

I don't know that I'd see Ronaldinho moving anytime soon, though I've heard the rumors plenty of times.

I'm still on the fringe about whether or not I want to see Anelka leave. On one hand, in the greater part of his appearances for Bolton he's done very little off the ball (that's changed this season, obviously), and his sale would bring much needed funds into the Trotters squad, with which they could bring in another such striker if Megson and Gartside are looking that way.

On the other hand, he's the Trotters' top scorer, and selling him would pretty much guarantee relegation, unless they did go out and bring in another "world class" striker or started playing Ricardo Vaz Te more (are you listening, Megson?...). It's just one of those things that's going to wind up hurting and helping Bolton no matter which way it happens (in the sense that if he goes, we've got money but we're still stuck, and if he doesn't go, we've got a fantastic striker, but have to do the speculation and rumor session all over again in the summer).

Update: I've added the latest Bolton-related moves.

Still have yet to add the numerous other moves related to the EPL, but I will get them done once I have some free time

Side Note: Gary Cahill has not officially joined Bolton at this stage, but I have added the deal to the list, as the fee has been agreed and the two parties are in discussions on personal terms.

Here's some news of interest that's taking real shape: Bolton are in talks with Barcelona about securing the services of Eidur Gudjohnsen on loan until the end of the year. Effectively, bringing him back to the 'bok for the first time in nearly 8 years. No word on if it would be "with a view to a permanent deal" or anything of that sort, but I can't deny it would be great to see Eidur back in the Trotters colours!

Finally looking at Strikers, Gary! That's the way!

Update, Jan 30th: The Eidur Gudjohnsen deal feel through, somewhat as expected (); however, the signing of Gary Cahill to Bolton has been completed, as he inked a 3 1/2 year deal this afternoon.

All that's left for Bolton is to go out and get a striker, as was blatantly obvious from Yesterday's performance at Fulham.

Working on adding more of the earlier transfers to the list, those involving strictly the EPL (players to and players from).

EDIT: ALL TRANSFERS TO-DATE, INVOLVING THE EPL, HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE LIST.
