Default Tigers Sign Jose Mesa

Veteran reliever Jose Mesa has reached preliminary agreement on a one-year contract with the Detroit Tigers that will pay him about $2.5 million, two baseball sources said Sunday.

The deal will be completed when Mesa passes a physical exam this week, the sources said.

Do Tigers fans like this signing? Considering the market, this is a pretty good deal.

Have Fun Tigers fans, because it seems like every time he comes into a game when it's close, us phillies fans almost had heart attacks because he'd either walk somebody or give up a hit.

I loved Joe Table when he was with the Indians in the mid to late 90s. The problem is that it was a long time ago!
