from baseballboards to fanhome to merger to unmerged some have "lost" tens of thousands of posts, the best way to get those "back" is post.

Default Long-time Tiger fan here...

watched and listened to Kaline, Lolich and the boys humble the smart-ass Cardinals in '68. I was just back from the 'Nam...those were the days....I loved those guys!

Default That '68 Tigers Team WAS Awesome!

Our family went to see the Tigers and Twins in a mid-afternoon doubleheader in July, 1969 at old Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington. What a memory! Kaline, Northrup, Lolich, McClain, Willie Horton, Gates Brown, Killebrew, Oliva, Katt, Carew, Jim Perry, et. al. Twins were on their game, swept, with Harmon, Tony-O and Carew all going deep.

I like your current team. Nice pickup in Scheffield, retaining Sean Casey.

Braves fan here

I remember it well. I still think Hart was a better GM than Shapiro, and I would rather see him back. I think Hart would have actually been a great GM had he been able to find a decent pitcher. For some reason he has never put much in pitching, and that is his downside in my opinion.

I always liked his style of get them young and sign them for as long as you can. I guess that really doesn't work today for some reason. Could be due to teh influncess of people like Scott Boras.
