Post Rounding into shape

After a shaky first half, Pistons begin to solidify

Quote:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's hard to say this after watching the struggles the past few weeks, but at the midpoint of this season -- which officially is after Friday's game against the Wizards -- the Pistons are where they want to be.

They are at the top of their division, yet haven't come close to playing their best basketball.

They have had to overcome injuries to three starters (Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups) and a key reserve (Lindsey Hunter).

They have had to fight their way out of some early lethargy and an extended stretch of losing (eight losses in 11 games).

And now, they have to integrate a new starter (Chris Webber) into the mix.
