Niklas Hagman signs with Toronto, Stars remain Idle on Day One of Free Agency

According to TSN, Niklas Hagman has signed a four year, $12Million deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He signed as a UFA, so Dallas have no chance to match the offer on him, meaning he has indeed left the Dallas Stars. Sad day, considering he was a VERY good player for the Stars.

It does free up some room for Fabian Brunnstrom and Perttu Lindgren (or Raymond Sawada), but it's still a bit of a shocker, all things considered...
