Default Stanley Cup Playoffs '08 -- Game 3: Dallas vs San Jose @ Dallas

Series Score: 2-0 DAL

Scoring - Period:

DAL: 0 - 0 - 1 - 1 TOT: 2
SJS: 1 - 0 - 0 - 0 TOT: 1

Scoring Summary:

DALLAS
  1. Sergei Zubov (1) -- Mike Ribeiro (9), Brad Richards (8)
  2. Niklas Hagman -- MISSED PENALTY SHOT
  3. Mattias Norstrom (2) -- Mike Ribeiro (10), Matt Niskanen (3)

SAN JOSE
  1. Patrick Marleau (1) -- U/A

Comments:
  • These commentators SUCK. They're making mountains out of molehills, claiming that Lundqvist boarded Ehrhoff (?) when he simply "finished his check" as they like to say about the Sharks hits.
  • Furthermore, Ott did NOT charge the goalie when he had control of the puck. Nabokov did NOT have control of the puck whatsoever, it was still loose and had only just hit the ice again when contact was made.
  • Lazy play from Dallas gives the Sharks a 1-0 lead...
  • Still demanding better commentary, these two are terrible...
  • End of the 2nd, still no real action, but a lot of non-calls from the Refs. Have the volume down VERY low to avoid the commentary, but you can still hear them waffle through the play. Horrible duo.
  • Good period not listening to commentary.
  • Good play for Dallas, hopefully they'll finish it in OT.
  • And they did, 3-0 series lead

GO STARS!

I have to admit that it will be a dang good series when Detroit and Dallas meet up.

I'm going to say Dallas in 6 over Detroit

Aye, it's definitely looking like a Detroit/Dallas series now

I'd love to see Dallas pull out the final game here tonight, then move on and take Detroit (Sorry Boonader, but I've always got to back my team ) to head to the finals.

Dallas over Detroit in 6 would be great, but I get the feeling it'll be a 7 game series. Either way, it should be a good one!

(did I mention how much I hated the commentary last night? )

It's been a huge shock to see the Sharks going out so suddenly. I was expecting a long series, at least 6 games like the Ducks, but here we are just before game 4 talking about a sweep and looking forward to the Stars/Wings series.

I don't think it's entirely the fault of the Sharks, though. The Stars have been fantastic this post-season, so it shouldn't have been as much of a shock as it is. Still, I expected quite a bit more from the Sharks. They may win tonight, but it's definitely only postponing the inevitable.
