With less then a month before the draft, let's take a look at who the Cowboys are aiming to get (and who should be there at 22).
In my opinion, it's going to be a WR. For two reasons: 1) This year's draft is LOADED with receivers. 2) Dallas' wideouts are aging. We pick a receiver to groom under TO and TG. Most likely candidate, IMO: Robert Macheam. However, should Dwayne Jarret fall to us I got a feeling we'd snag him. |

Kenny Hamlin will not help you defensive backfield. He's one of the primary reasons you guys should have won that playoff game.

Bummer. Full disclosure - I don't recall seeing Hamlin play, so was going on stories I read in the Dallas Morning News. They and other draft 'prognosticators' have suggested this offseason move would shift Cowboys 1st Round attention to WR.
Even if Hamlin is short term patchwork, the Cowboys need WR help. Supposedly years 2-3 are when most good WRs breakout ... and given Glenn and Owens are a year or so away from breaking down, WR is still the priority if the right value is on the board. |
