The 'Hawks secondary has been riddled with injuries in the past two weeks with Trufant, Herndon and Williams all going down. A Nickle or Dime package will have to have one of the two players signed today (Tuesday) on the field or with Julian Peterson, a wide receiver or who-knows? Seneca playing out of position.
I don't feel great about this game. We need the three WR set to be on fire, but with Stevens being teh suck I hope that the club does it with two backs. On offense Hackett running seems will be key, as Ingram hooks in a flat and Branch stretches deep. Alexander needs a two TD and 125 yard game. Defensively Lofa will have to stop the run nearly by himself as I expect all four down linemen to be on pass rush for the full game and Julian "Hybrid" Peterson to be running all over the place. We may even see a team run a 4-4-3 defense due to the shortage in the secondary. At least the game is at home.

I don't see the Seahwaks being able to cover TO,Glenn,Witten, and Crayton for a sustained amount of time with their DB's at full strength, much less now.
The Dallas D does need to step it up.Alexander hasn't did that much against the Cowboys in the past, but I'm worry worried about the defense making their WR's look like Jerry Rice, Lance Alworth, and Steve Largent |

I only watched part of the game and while it is certainly easy to blame the loss on the blown snap, I saw a few missed opportunities by both sides in the final minutes (Dallas' most notable other one being the fumble at their own goal line). If that was indicative of the whole game, it was a pretty sloppy affair and the winner will not be around much longer.

I agree that TO was a non factor during the game.I was surprised that there were not more passing attempts to the receivers.
I don't put this game on Romo with the fumbled snap.I looked at the balls in the other games, and they didn't appear to be as slick as the one he fumbled. The game shouldn't have came down to that kick. I will say that the officiating did have a lot to do with the game.2 BS calls on third down on the defense,Glenn's non catch/safety, the change of spot on Witten's catch, and a non pass interference call on the last play come to mind.It was like a payback for the SuperBowl last year. The Seahawks might have won,but I refuse to say they played better. |
