well up above I mispelled the Astros name and before they were called the Astros it was the Colt 45's, here's a link to the Coopertowns old time jersey page of that era, I still think that was the best uni by the Houston team ever, with the smoking colt on the front of the jersey.

I'm a fan of anybody playing the NY Giants, nice game today Titans, those Giants look to be in trouble blew that game big time. Worse than that game the cowboys blew against the Redskins a couple weeks ago. Cowboys leading the division now

The last time I rooted for the Cowboys was around 1966 and '67. I hated the Packers and pulled for Dallas to beat them two years in a row. They failed both times. After the second loss, I promised myself that I would never root for the Cowboys again. I never have.
Then, the did me the indignity of being a very good team in the 1970s. I hated them for that. Tom Landry, Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, "Too Tall" Jones and all the other Cowboy heroes of that era are in my personal Hall of Infamy. I continued hating them through the '80s and '90s. Then, they got bad and I just didn't care anymore. Now, I still have a visceral reaction to the uniform, but I won't watch a game just to root for whomever is playing against them. I do like Bill Parcells, though. I think I'll entertain the fantasy that he intentionally screwed up this year, because he, too, is a Cowboy hater at heart. |

Parcells, despite not getting the job done with any playoff penetration ... left the cupboard full. This team is talented on both sides of the ball.
But if anything, they learned Parcell's style of coaching doesn't get it done anymore (as Giants fans are witnessing with Coughlin).
