Hello everyone!

I am really glad to see Fanhome.com back and running like the old times. I am looking forward to seeing the same great community that once posted here back.

I am a sports junkie and fairly opinionated about everything...hehe. I live in Los Angeles, and even though I follow LA teams, I don't consider myself a fan of them. I am often more interested in the game, than the teams.

Can't wait to see everyone back and welcome new members!

Just a suggestion...

If you're trying to get incoming traffic (aka, the old members) back to the site, it might be a good idea to temporarily change your homepage link: (http://www.fanhome.com/) to redirect to the forums (http://www.fanhome.com/forums/), since not many of the posters from the old boards A.) know the "forums" sub-directory exists; and B.) most people are checking the homepage link to get to the site anyway.

Eventually once you have enough traffic coming in to the site, you can change your homepage into whatever CMS, or custom page later on down the road...

Good luck with the site either way.

Metro, right now we're in a soft launch... Meaning we're not officially open for business so we're not trying to give everyone access. In the near future we will be changing the splash page to the forum list and/or an enterance page.

Actually, I wasn't aware of the "forums" sub-directory myself... At least not until I stumbled across it while I was viewing old cache of the really old FH (ya know, the one before you guys switched from vB to EZB) which I had the fortunate of saving onto my CPU at the time.

Proof: http://mfboards.byethost17.com/ (Just taking a quick stroll down memory lane for y'all, hehe. Hey, what can I say? I've been there since the very beginning with you folks too. :P).

Anyway, good luck with the opening of this site once again. I think you guys have done a nice job getting everything setup similar to what the old boards appeared.

Glad to see finally a good forum system running.

I was moderator in the Hockey boards, especially Montreal, was a regular of the expos board before they moved to Washington...

Hey John,

Just a quick suggestion. Is it possible we can get an option into our UserCP to display the "Legacy Postbit"? This is basically where the username and details run along the left side of the posts in the threads. This is how the layout used to look in v2 of vBulletin, but they've made it as an option in v3.

It's been the same going all the way back to my pre-fanhome days at fastball.com, dickie thon.com and then the baseballboards.com days.

It'll be nice to see this forum get back to its pre-insiders/slash scout days.
