Absolutely.......
I LOVED Halo multiplayer, but I HATED Halo 2 multiplayer. It plays exactly the same as both. But, instead of starting with an SMG every match, you start with the Assault Rifle from Halo1. This makes you so much less reliant on racing others to better, more powerful weapons. In other words, I feel just as comfortable going into battle with the AR as I do with the Battle Rifle or some other weapon. I can't stress enough how much of a difference this makes with the game. There are also some cool additions like the Mongoose, detachable stationary chain guns, land mines, bubble shields, and the MAN CANNON. Right now, I would say the Carbine and the Needler are a little over powered. They've gotta fix some spawn points and the volume from the Warthog is way too low (you litterally can't hear it until its right behind you). When the beta ends on the 10th, I'll do a full write up. Also, check out the new Game Pro (yes, I know its a **** mag). They've got details about all the new maps and info on the CUSTOMIZABLE SPARTANS for Halo 3 multiplayer.
