Default Is Castlevania Symphony of the Night the Greatest Game Ever?

I saw it listed on ebay at $399 new and the cheapest ones are all over $30. Is it really worth paying that price?

Never played it. I loved the Dragon Warrior series for NES, #4 goes for big bucks.

I would never pay that much for a game. The most expensive game I have ever bought was Street Fighter II the World Warrior for $72.00 on the SNES. What a rip off. It was the first side scrolling fighter released on a home system. I have since bought Sreet Fighter games on the PS2 for no more than $40.00 brand new. They feature about 30 fighters too.

SotN is definately one of the best ever made. It's like Super Metroid, but better. I still have it on PS.

The current greatest game ever is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, followed far behind by ESPN NFL 2K5 and Guitar Hero II. I would not buy any one of these games for a penny over $100.00.

So, I guess the simple answer is that it's not worth $300.00.

What's the deal with that game? Why would it cost so much considering gamespot only gave it a 8.9 out of 10. Is it super rare?

This is one game I've never gotten around to playing. But I hear it's really good!
