So I posted pictures of my FIFA World Cup games on The Wolf Web and Big Soccer, played my Super Nintendo a few months ago, and am now addicted to Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum again. This made me wonder, what are the ten best, or most important video games ever? Some of the games that made my list are just fun, but most of them are on there because they inspired the creation of some other good video games. So here is my list in no real order.
Pac-Man: This game is a little out of date, but it is still fun. Tetris: This was the first puzzle game that I remember. Sega later came out with Columns, while Nintendo followed with Doctor Mario, and Yoshi. Tetris made playing puzzle games cool. World Class Track Meet: The Power Pad was awsome back in the day. This game was the first game I played that didn't require the use of my thumbs. Since the creation of this game many motion simulation games have been created. Dance Dance Revolution, Real World Golf, that baseball bat and golf club for the Sega. Then of course came the Nintendo Wii. Sim City: Sim City made it cool to build things from a birds eye view. Later we would be introduced to more of this style of game with the creation of more Sim games and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Then came the list of other games using the word Sim, or Tycoon just so someone could make a quick dollar. Pilot Wings: This is the reason I plugged in my SNES a few months ago. This game is just fun for people of all ages. I also heard it was the first mode 7 3D video game. John Madden Football: Did EA Sports even make video games before this series? Every version I have played has been fun. If it wasn't for Madden there probably wouldn't be any EA Sports games. What sport has EA not tried to make a game for since the creation of John Madden Football? Super Mario All Stars: This game has the 3 original games from the NES and the Lost Levels on it, only the graphics are better. Time Traveler: There isn't much to this game, but it is a hologram coin-op game that used to be in arcades. It just looks cool. When I saw this in the arcade I said "WOW!" Zelda: This series of games has stood the test of time and was one of the first epic quest games I can remember. I'm not a fan of these games, but it belongs on this list. Super Street Fighter II: This is still one of the best Street Fighter games I have ever played. Street Fighter II is the reason we have so many side scrolling fighting games today. So that is my list of 10 Best/Most Important Video Games Ever. They may not have the best graphics, but if it wasn't for these games we might not have all of the cool games that we have today.
