Default EA Locks up NFL License till 2012

Link

I play some Madden, and I have to say I hate to see this. I would be much happier if EA had some competition that would push them to put out a better product. I'm not hard to please (I played a ton of Madden '07 on PS2 and loved it), but I hate Madden '08 on PS3.
Oh well, just thought I'd drop a line for those of you who care.

Absolute joke...this is horrible for sports games. It's practically breaking anti-trust laws. I hate EA for taking away NFL 2K and I hate 2K for taking away MVP. It's a love/hate deal but this exclusive deals are horrible for sports gaming.

Monopolism is a cruel, cruel practice.

But in all fairness, EA is simply doing what is better for their business (financially). I'm more angry at the NFL for allowing this kind of crap to happen. I mean, I suppose it's benefiting them as well, but they have the power to reject, as Take-Two did.
