There is an easy way to trade for whatever players you want without having to "force trades."
Sign top notch free agents that start the game as unsigned, and then deal three of the for the dream player that you wish was on your team. I used this to get Ken Griffey Jr back in a Seattle uniform. It felt more honest than just forcing an opposing team into a bad deal.

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |

I'm really disappointed in 2K7. I'm only interested in the Franchise Mode, building my teams and such, and sim every single game. I'm not interested in the arcade side at all. Sadly, with 2K7, the Franchise Mode is totally out of whack. Every game is a 15-10 HR derby spectacular. Guys like Torii Hunter crank 60 homers. The best pitchers in baseball are lucky to have their ERA's under 6.00. I've diddled with the difficulty settings for all they're worth, and it doesn't really help. I've turned the AI hitters adjusters to flat out zero, and cranked up the pitchers to the max. No effect at all.
I've been playing the WSB/2K series from Sega forever, and this is the first one that I finally gave up on. I just went back to 2K6, and am hoping that 2K8 will be much, much improved on the Franchise Mode side.
