I'm not a big fan of A-Rod's but I did happen to notice that he's very likely going to hit his HR number 500 this season. That is just outstanding! He'll be 32
He might be baseball's best chance to chase down Barry Bonds. If you believe in Karma, you've got to hope that A-Rod takes down Barry's 70 the same year that Barry takes down Aaron. If the Yankees continue to stink it up you really wonder if A-Rod won't see a few more pitches to hit this season then he normally might. A-Rod's also got a chance to take on the career HR record. I'm still not convinced that Bonds is off PED's. I think Barry is going to hold on as long as he can. It's a great potential story within the 07 season and of course for the remainder of A-Rod's career. |

Gee, I wonder if the Yankees may have bitten if O'Dowd had offered Helton, Stewart, and Jimenez for A-Rod last offseason? I think it would have been possible then, but not now!
We could have moved A-Rod to shortstop, and groomed Tulo for another year in AAA to take over at 2nd base in 2008. The Rockies franchise has no imagination. |

Nope, and once A-Rod voids his deal with the Yankees at season's end, he will again available to the highest bidder (which won't be the Rockies)
