I checked:

Fastball knee high, taking strike 1
Fastball way high and outside swinging strike 2
Slider in the dirt ball 1
Fastball way high and outside ball 2

[Huson says "let's see if he gives him that slider down low"]

Fastball thigh-high down the middle, HR

OK......so why can't Hurdle keep in Fuentes for the 11th? Corpas pitched two innings. So did Wagner. There is no reason to bring in Affeldt, unless the Cooler wants a late dinner in the Village.

Affeldt, just barely escaping his certain fate so far ... he's grooved a couple hangers for the Mets hitters but they haven't quite got them

Now, matchup-crazed Clint takes out Affeldt to bring in Speier, and double-switches by taking out Atkins and inserting Barmes. Whoopee, that'll win us a game!

Will we have any players left if this goes beyond the 13th?

Speier, who survives thanks to Alou hitting a shot right at 3B.

What a depressing end. The Mets pen should start getting thin now, too, so there's a glimmer of hope. Oh, and if the Rockies manage to load 'em up, it may be up to Clint Barmes to win it ...

I believe the fastball was middle outish. He had a pretty good swing. Fuentes hasn't been having much success with the change this year. Of course if he got it in the area code he might have better success.

I have a feeling that this is where it ends ...

... and can you believe they're running the "Fuentes saves everything" spot right now???

I have never seen a "walk-off balk" before, but Ryan Speier is getting real close to doing it.

Commercial insertion equipment is NOT context-sensitive!

You gotta love the "walk-off bunt", no matter who you root for.

The Rox just set a franchise record for most consecutive homerless games at 8, I believe.

Anyone want to trademark something and market some T-shirts with me?

"The Blake Street Ballerinas"!
