I just looked at the roster and I count three Rockies prospects on the roster.
Nix, Fowler and Weathers No wonder this team lost to Korea and likely won't medal

Olympic baseball? I'm glad to see it go. Who cares?
Olympics sports should concentrate on what America wants to see, like swimming, and badminton, and beach volleyball. Synchronized diving. Whatever women want to watch, that's what the Olympics should be about. Little pixies jumping around, losing their baby teeth if they fall off the balance beam. Is it really a controversy to note that Chinese girls are not 16 years old? How can you convince an 18 year old, fully grown adult woman, to do backflips on a 4 inch beam. You gotta be crazy to do that...or weigh 77 pounds and be young and stupid and do whatever your coach tells you to do. Nadia Comenichi was 14 when she won the gold for Romania back in the day. There was no Olympic crying over that child abuse back then. Why now? Our minor leaguers couldn't beat the Korean minor leaguers? Ugh. TV scheduling. I tried to watch Olympic tennis. The paper said it would be on the Oxygen channel at 5pm our time. Tuned in and they were showing equestrian junk. This is poorly run and abusive to fans. You can't watch what you want I guess, unless you TIVO it, and/or tape everything and zip thru it with the FF. Who has time for that? |

Why are they crying about the ages of the girls? Well since Nadia competed a new rule that states that athletes have to be at least 16 years of age to avoid using underaged athletes.

Well the Americans bring home the Bronze Medal, which is more than I hoped for after their first game.
