1. Yorvit Torrealba.
Quick discussion of "Catcher's ERA" or CERA between Drew and George tonight. They agree that it is a very relevant statistic. They point out that the way Torrealba calls a game has a big influence on pitching performance. Fact check: Rox team ERA this year: 5.07 Rox ERA when Yorvit is catching: 5.07 |

Players who need to be gone:
2. Willy Taveras. Actually managed to get on base. Then got picked off by lefty pitcher Beimal. Fact Check: Willy Taveras, Career stolen base numbers vs. lefthanded pitchers: 14 for 22 Career vs. Righthanded pitchers: 106 for 129 New Rule: Willy must keep one foot on the bag when a lefthander is pitching. |

And for those who didn't catch it:
Torrealba shows his street-fighting ability. I'm replaying that one again and again. What started as a shove from Kemp is returned by Yorvit with both hands, one holding the baseball, to Kemp's throat. Kemp comes after him and Yorvit gets low, making Kemp miss and taking him down. Now that's veteran leadership! |

Kemp deserved it and more as impeded Yorvit's path to the ball and then tried to kick him when Yorvit had to shoulder him out of the way to get the ball. Best part of that scuffle, Chris comes in for Yorvit and smacks the ball deep to left on the first pitch he sees.
