Hawper is the man to trade. But he's trashing his trade value so far this season.
You can tell O'Dowd is thinking the same thing, saying that the Rox braintrust believes that Stewart can play "any corner position." Holliday ain't going anywhere this year; Helton has not potential takers; O'Dowd wouldn't bother to say it if Atkins were the trade bait since we all know Stewart is a natural third baseman. If they're not going to play Spilly in CF, then it's clear that he is the superior choice in RF against lefties. And in the NL West that has typically meant about 40% of all starts. |
