Default Brad Hawpe's Mystery Injury

Hurdle says he left tonight's game with "an injury," but won't say what. Must be minor but embarassing.

Poll: Is it ...

A. Hemmorhoid flareup
B. Foul tip off scrotum
C. Diarhhea
D. STD

Whatever it is, I hope it is serious enough to warrant a trip to the DL so he can get a "rehab" assignment to AAA and correct whatever the hell is wrong with him.

In the meantime, lets hope this clears a path for Stewart, or I'd wouldn't even mind seeing Seth Smith back up here and giving him so major league AB's. Either option will probably be more productive then Hawpe has been.

Hawper is the man to trade. But he's trashing his trade value so far this season.

You can tell O'Dowd is thinking the same thing, saying that the Rox braintrust believes that Stewart can play "any corner position." Holliday ain't going anywhere this year; Helton has not potential takers; O'Dowd wouldn't bother to say it if Atkins were the trade bait since we all know Stewart is a natural third baseman.

If they're not going to play Spilly in CF, then it's clear that he is the superior choice in RF against lefties. And in the NL West that has typically meant about 40% of all starts.
