Default Welcome Back, Clint

Got to throw a big "atta' boy" to Clint Barmes... he's been playing some phenomenal baseball.

He's probably increased his Major League shelf life by a couple years with this last month's performance, and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I've had the pleasure of spending bits and pieces of time with Clint over the last few years; if you're a Major League ballplayer, you've got every right to have some ego, and you'll catch a whiff of it from practically every ballplayer you meet. Not Clint-- he's the guy who will pull over and help a stranger change his tire, and feel embarassed if you try to thank him for it.

So, easy guy to root for, especially when he's mashing. Here's hoping it continues, for the Rockies and for a good guy.

Good guy or not, he has had 961 at bats that say he's nothing more then a .750 OPS guy at best.... so while he's been fun to watch I am not getting my hopes up that this is the real Clint Barmes, and hopefully our GM is smart enough to dump him to the highest bidder before the real Clint shows up.
