dammmit the yankees lost again. for some unknown reason i have this uncontrolable urge to sing "sweet caroline". i have been humming it to myself all day. i wonder WTF that means. mmmmm cold beer

Yankees had a chance to bruise Dice-K early and they didn't take it. The Yankees pen is not very good and right now their staff is in serious trouble.

i am not going to bet on the yankees until post-season, which they will make.
it would be nice to see donny baseball take the throne in the bronx, but it wont happen until after the season is over. the only way torre keeps his job next year is a world series trophy.

redsfan and i have some interesting bets for this weekends series.

points will be given for the following:

1- per game won
1- per run
1- per strike out
2- per stolen base
2- per home run
2- per double play

points will be taken for the following:

-2 per error made
-1 per walk issued
-2 per HBP
-2 per player, if a player gets tossed

if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them. i am always looking for a new way to wager.

I don't care if Hurdle looks like Jabba-the-Hut, my only concern is he can't manage.

He wasn't hired to win Mr. Universe, or to run in the Boston Marathon. He was hired to Manage a baseball team.

And he sux at that.

I think it may be a sign of personal issues which may affect his on field performance, both directly and in terms of respect from the players. How can players respect somebody who doesn't respect themselves?

i cant believe it. we end up tied at the end of one game 20-20
sats game we got 24 points they got 17 points
sun game we lost 25 points to 1

by the above points system i have lost the bet 62-45

looks like i will be taking redsfan to lunch.

BTW hurdle does not look as big as he looks like in that picture. i was pretty close.
