They just gave me tylenol + codeine. Not much pain anyway.
Are they breaking in to corporate espn programming for every ARod at bat as well as every Barry at bat? It's kind of amusing at this point. ARod is in a 0-21 skid. I'm watching Barry right now, getting his body armor on, on the Deuce. I don't recall Hank Aaron wearing that huge elbow protector. Barry says that the boooooooooooooooing motivates him. I really hope he hits them on the road. Apparently Frank Robinson will sit in for Selig tomorrow as Bud is flying to Milwaukee for whatever reason. I wonder what Frank thinks about Barroid. |

I have to agree with Drew about Barry not trying. I was actually going to post the same thing before I even read what he wrote.
I have watched a good portion of the last 2 games, including all of Bonds' at bats, and his swing seems kind of compact. He has barely even driven the ball out of the outfield, and has swung at some bad pitches that are uncharacteristic for him. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is trying to wait till he gets back home to hit 755 and 756. |

I checked again, Drew, and they're giving me generic Vicodin. I thought that was a good addictive pain killer. I'm not noticing anything from it. Maybe I need to mix it with alcohol or something. Who would know? Rush Limbaugh or Lindsey Lohan?
Is Barry trying or not? I'm already tired of tv shots of his little daughter booing or sticking her tongue out. Can't wait to hear Chris Berman go "back, back back" and Joe Morgan gush about how Barry is the greatest player of all time. NOT. |

depending on the "size" of it. i can act as a multiplier and make you feel drunker. depending on how much alcohol you regularly consume. i drink an occasional beer, three i am drunk. if i were to pop a vicodin and drink three beers i would be wasted as far as being addictive, they are. they are what the little kid from "eight is enough" was on. they were also found on al gore III. rush limbaugh, brett favre, and alot of other high profile people. i have heard that it feels like being stoned on marajuana if you take about 5 of em. i wouldn't personally know nor would i recomend it. i just thought you would like to know. i dont know about you guys, but i would love to see barry get HBP soon and hard. not enough to really hurt him, but only to knock him out of the game. it is a shame we dropped tom martin. we could have used him to drill him in the head piazza style. save baseball.....dont walk barry, hit him Last edited by indianadrew; August 2nd, 2007 at 06:42 PM. |

Just saw that fat actor Jon Lovitz being interviewed by some babe, as The Deuce follows Barry Bonds' every swing and inhale and exhale. Lovitz is an idiot. He gave corporate espn exactly what they wanted, praising Barroid up and down as the greatest player ever, acting as if everyone took steroids back then, no big deal, yada yada yada.
Why doesn't espn get one interview of the opposing view? E$pn. Barry pays $500 a piece for each one of his maple bats, whereas Alfonso Soriano only pays $47 a bat. Does that make Barry a saint or an idiot? I didn't get the point of that hard hitting interview by the blonde. Must be all these vicodins and beers I'm doin. <just kidding> |

Rush Limbaugh was addictied to oxycotin, not vicodin. Oxycotin is far more powerful, from what I hear (I have never had any).
A vicodin and a couple of beers are a good team and are tough to beat for a good night's sleep and overall painkilling effect. |

Not me.
How 'bout this game?! Garrett Atkins knocking John Smoltz out of the game with a 3 run blast. Awesome. This is a fun way to recover from sinus surgery. Watching whole games. And we're winning. We can compete. We could be playoff bound. FINALLY! |

Drew and everybody,
How 'bout meeting over in the Chat area after tonite's game? Maybe we could watch the postgame show and chat. My TV is in the same room as my computer so it's no problem for me. Just a thought. Maybe we could check in at beginning of games or at end of games, although I'm going to a party tomorrow and won't be available. Just throwing out some ideas. |

1. We had a fun little chat with Hoya, wolf, and me in the chatroom last night, enjoying Francis' 12th victory. Don't think I can make it in there tonite, but it's something to think about down the road, as a routine, to build fan comradery and such. No one was in there but US. I'm wondering if it's just for Rockies fans or the whole fan site??
2. Neifi Perez. 80 games suspension. For what? Again why does MLB protect the criminals and keep the fan in the dark? Who is running this program, Alberto Gonzales? Can't we know what substance Neifi is hooked on? Is it speed? Crack? Meth-amphetamines? Heroin? Starbucks? If Tom Cruise can handle the truth so can I. Newman wants to know. 3. We keep winning, even on the road, even against top ranked pitchers like John Smoltz, and yet we are still 3.5 games back. Frustrating. It's Ubaldo tonite vs. Tim Hudson. If only Helton and Hawpe would get hot! 4. It'll be so interesting to see how Hurdle handles the return of Brian Fuentes. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Give BF the 6th inning? We shall see... |

Newman, Neifi claimed he has Attention Deficit Disorder and he was prescribed an amphetamine, obviously not getting approval from MLB for using it.
And all along I just thought he sucked for ordinary reasons, not because he's suffering from ADD. Hey, Jim Leyland, could I interest you in Clint Barmes? [We'll get our revenge on you yet ...] |
