Another hit for the rookie, Jacoby Ellsbury, as he leads off tonite. Double
I think a lot of casual fans are just glad that we are here, in the World Series. I'm an avid fan. I want more. Can't we win at least one game? For respect. Drawn in infield? Big Papi easily bangs a base hit thru. What kind of defense is that, Clint? |

The layoff hurt. Our organization has one of the best running the show. Relax.
I heard ESPN radio's Joe Morgan and Dave Campbell say the rox are going to think about bringing A-Rod in. So at least they have it in them to resign some of their key players like Matsui. |

Meanwhile, it was unfortunate we couldn't win at least one game. Actually it sucks, but wow guys, this was still one amazing season. Did anyone see Rosenthal's interview with Hurdle after the game? You could tell he was getting a bit emotional thinking about how great this team was, even with this loss. |

Q. Who made the difference tonight?
A. Bobby Kielty. Q. What right-handed OF bat who kills LHP was available in August for essentially nothing, but the Rockies saw no need to try to obtain him? A. Bobby Kielty. Q. If the Rockies bring in Fuentes, who can we assume Francona will counter with to hit for the pitcher? A. Bobby Kietly. Q. Which is the better matchup from Francona's perspective: Kielty vs. a LHP, or Hinske or Crisp vs. Manny Corpas? A. Bobby Kielty. Q. Who took a champagne bath after tonight's game, Brian Fuentes or Bobby Kielty? A. Bobby Kielty. Last edited by BigRapidsJackass; 10-29-2007 at 01:43 AM. |

Q: Who would you rather have batting to lead off an inning, Bobby Kielty or Franklin Morales?
A: Bobby Kielty Q: Who is the better manager, Clint Hurdle or Terry Francona? A: Bobby Kielty Q: The Rockies with a payroll of $54M, who have been whining about Todd Helton's contract for the last 9 years, have a chance to sign either ARod or Matt Holliday, long term, for a bushel full of money. Who are they most likely to sign? A: Bobby Kielty There's not enough coffee this morning. Does anyone in their far right mind actually think Monfort would sign ARod? Haven't we progressed at all as baseball fans to realize that ship won't dock here with this ownership group. We suddenly will not become Boston west or my name is not Newman. Maybe we could get ARod to play 3B, keep Holliday in LF, move Helton to the Bosox for Jacoby Ellsbury and Atkins goes to 1B, then we trade Yorvit to the Reds for Johnny Bench. Come on people. Let's get real. Game 4 was a strange time to announce that ARod was cutting loose from the Yankees. Or was it? Perfect corporate decision. Have Ken Rosenthal send the message to Red Sox Nation as they sweep the Rockies, celebrate, and focus their energy on the former evil empire in NYC. Back to reality...Okajima was out of gas. Francona was afraid to bring in gas can Gagne. Who was that nobody that hit the homer off gas can Fuentes? Bobby Kielty? Maybe Herges could have gotten him out. Maybe Speier had shaken the rust off by then. Maybe we can trade gas can Fuentes for gas can Gagne over the winter? Can we afford Gagne? Hell, money is no object now with ARod at 3B and Victor Martinez catching and that young Cleveland CF stud patrolling ... The obvious answer is Corpas. If that dancer Papelbon can pitch a Gossage two inning close job in a World Series finale, why can't Hurdle bring in Corpas to do the same, to keep us in the game, to keep gas can Fuentes on the bench, in the bullpen, chained to Gebhard's Geyser where he belongs? Did you see Gagne come in during a tight spot? Nope. Last edited by Newman; 10-29-2007 at 08:44 AM. |
