Newman, your comment about Tulo bringing a winning attitude to the team is interesting.
Have any of you wondered about Holiday being in the running for MVP of the League, yet he isn't even the MVP of his team?

Tulo, IMO, is clearly the MVP of the Rockies.
He's the straw that stirs the drink (sorry for the Reggie Jackson analogy) and his never say die attitude has rubbed off on the team more than "Big Daddy" (what the hell kind of contrived nickname is that...) has.

It's that old story, RP. Holliday is the BEST player in the league but Tulo is the most valuable to his team.

Couldn't agree more with that contrived nickname for Holliday.

Saw where the Bucs are resting their best player?, Freddy Sanchez, for the rest of the year. We'll have to beat the DBacks ourselves. But first, one more v. the AAA Dodger lineup.

i usually try to stay up for at least the start of the game. i dont always make it. i have to work early in the morning. i almost always get up in the middle of the night to graze in the fridge and check the box scores.

Dodgers get a double steal, runners on second and third with one out in the sixth. Ope, and as I type this Affeldt gets a ground ball but a run scores to make it 4-3. And now Hurdle's bringin in a new pitcher. C'mon Rox!

Rockies ahead 7-3. Talk about Tulo as team MVP, hit that run scoring double just a bit ago, another big play on that grounder from Russell.

Assuming the Rockies win this game, is it safe to say the playoffs start tomorrow for the Rockies? I plan on going to all three games, painting the face, wearing the jersey, everything.

I think it's safe to say the playoffs started for the Rockies sometime last week. It's been really sad to see that Dodgers so broken this week.... no, not really.
